One-Night-Stand,
 
diese vom Englischen to stand one night (für eine Nacht lang bleiben) abstammende Bezeichnung steht für sexuelle Aktivitäten, die man nur für eine Nacht mit einem bis dahin oft kaum bekannten Partner ausübt, ohne dass sich daraus eine persönliche Bindung ergibt. One-Night-Stands werden heute deutlich seltener als in den 1970er- und 1980er-Jahren praktiziert, im Wesentlichen aufgrund der mittlerweile allgemein bekannten Gefahr einer HIV-Infektion (Aids); wie bei jedem Geschlechtsverkehr mit einem fremden Partner sollte daher auch beim One-Night-Stand immer ein Kondom benutzt werden.
